Salvador Bolivar

Founder and visionary of Rising Phoenix, Salvador Bolivar has over 18 years working in the film industry and over 15 years servicing the youth in the New York public school system. His first experience was as a teacher artist at NYU's Creative Art Team, facilitating conflict resolution workshops throughout New York City in the 1990's. Then as The Program Coordinator at the nation's first cinema high school,

"The Cinema School" founded in 2009. Currently he teaches production 101 at the award winning non-profit “The Ghetto Film School”Salvador is deeply motivated to empower youth through the means of expressing their voice and sharing their vision through media. A Director of Photography and lighting technician by trade, Salvador has contributed his talent to over six dozen productions ranging from narratives, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and reality television worldwide. Salvador launched "Rising Phoenix Film Works" with the vision to create content that will inspire and uplift our future generations, as well as support and guide our young filmmakers of color on their first steps into the film industry and beyond.
